Alice Ji

Alice Ji, an Engineering Science major with Management of Technology and Economics minors, graduated from Vanderbilt in 2006 at which time she was elected as a Young Alumni Trustee.

She is currently a consultant with Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company.

As a student at Vanderbilt, much of her time was devoted to the orientation of incoming students as a Summer Academic Orientation Leader, a student employee in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and VUceptor. Ms. Ji served as both President and board member of VUcept. She also was involved in Alternative Spring Break (ASB) as both a participant and site leader. In addition, she worked within the Nashville community through Vanderbilt Students Volunteer for Science and Vanderbuddies. Ms. Ji also promoted diversity appreciation as both President and Community Vice President of the Asian American Student Association her junior and sophomore year, respectively. She also served as Vice President of Communications for Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

She worked with Vanderbilt administration on various committees such as the Common Grounds Executive Board and the Orientation to Norms and Value, appointed by Chancellor Gee. Because of her drive and dedication, she was awarded the Nora C. Chaffin scholarship that recognizes one junior who has “displayed service to the University in areas of student government, religious, literary, and scholastic activities.” Other campus involvements included International Studies in London, VandyCares, student employee in Rand as well as in Vanderbilt Hall as a reeve, and she worked as a research assistant in the pharmacology department.

Alice currently lives in Arlington, Virginia.
