Cecil D. Conlee Cecil D. Conlee, a trustee since 1983, graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University, with a B.A. in economics. After graduation, he served in the Navy until 1961. The recipient of the J. Spencer Love Fellowship, he earned his M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1963. He joined Oxford Industries, Incorporated, in 1963 as an assistant to the chairman of the board and, in 1966, was elected to the position of treasurer. In 1968, Mr. Conlee joined Cousins Properties, Incorporated, as vice president of finance and then became executive vice president and, eventually, president. He formed The Conlee Company in 1983 and CGR Advisors in 1989, both of which provide real estate investment advice and portfolio management. Active in a number of business and community organizations, Mr. Conlee is director of Central Atlanta Progress and has previously served as a director of the Atlanta Boy Scouts, the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and the Corporation for Olympic Development Atlanta. He also served as president of the Community Foundation of Atlanta. Mr. Conlee continues to serve on the boards of directors of Oxford Industries, Inc., and The George West Mental Health Foundation. He is married to Amy Jorgensen Conlee (Owen '77) and has three children: Anne (AB '87), John and Lila. |
