JOIN MASTER SONGWRITER/MUSICIANS FOR A RARE GLIMPSE INTO THE ART OF MAKING MUSIC.

The BLAIR CONVERSATIONS Series is a new Blair tradition, which began in 1995 with an informal public discussion with the late guitar master Chet Atkins. Mr. Atkins talked candidly onstage, before a packed audience, about his life, his unique musical approach, and his creative process. The surprising level of conversation, the artist's immediate link to the audience and the rare opportunity to hear a musician/writer talk — seriously and at ease — about his work led to conversations with music giants such as Beth Nielsen Chapman, Marty Stuart, Amy Grant, Mike Reid, Steve Earle, Joshua Bell, Awadagin Pratt, Mark Knopfler and Randy Newman.

The Conversations Series offers two to three events each school year. Each exceptional event brings a uniquely personal perspective on the art of music. This series is presented free of charge to the Vanderbilt community and general public. Conversations dates and guests are announced throughout the year.
