Carolyn Dever, dean of the College of Arts and Science

$2,699 per person, double occupancy, includes airfare from the U.S.

This journey starts off in grand style as you tour Blenheim Palace, home of Winston Churchill, within hours of touching down at London Heathrow. You’ll then make your way to the charming Lygon Arms Hotel Broadway in the heart of the Cotswolds. During the past five centuries many historic figures have passed through its doors, including Charles II and Oliver Cromwell. From this base you’ll tour Oxford—seeing many areas not usually accessible to travelers—and Stratford. The next day we head for London for visits to Buckingham Palace, the Winston Churchill War Museum and the British Museum. A full day on your own in London allows you to explore and shop at your leisure before enjoying a gathering with the Vanderbilt London Chapter.
