October 26–31, 2012
$4,995 per person, double occupancy
Each October and November, polar bears descend upon the small northern seaport of Churchill, Manitoba, for the refreezing of Hudson Bay. When the bay freezes, the polar bears venture onto the ice to hunt their favorite meal, ringed seal. During this six-day expedition, you will have the unforgettable opportunity to observe and photograph the bears from the safety and comfort of your specially designed “Tundra Buggy.” Dog sledding and other cultural experiences are highlights of this unique learning experience.
