Why do you choose to be involved with your local Vanderbilt chapter?
My local Vanderbilt chapter helps me stay connected with Vanderbilt and meet new alumni in Atlanta.
We attend the Atlanta Community Food Bank monthly with about 10 Vanderbilt volunteers to sort and package food. We have cooked dinner at the Ronald McDonald House. This was a great activity because it involved alumni of all ages as well as their children.
We are planning a service day with the Special Olympics for Martin Luther King Day 2011 as well as a Habitat for Humanity build day for Spring 2011.
