Lee Lahourcade lives in Houston and is president and CEO of Vaughan Nelson Investment Management, an asset management firm that manages value equity and fixed income portfolios. After Vanderbilt, Lee worked in New York in the corporate finance analyst program at Merrill Lynch and then earned an MBA at Harvard Business School. Eager to head back to Texas and warmer weather, in 1984 he moved to Houston where he rejoined Merrill Lynch’s investment banking division. In 1988, he moved to Austin to join Rust Capital, a private equity firm, as its president. In 1992, Lee returned to Houston to join Vaughan Nelson as a principal and equity analyst. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Lee and his wife, Virginia, are the very proud parents of Sam (17), Emily (14) and Rob (10). He has served as the president of the Vanderbilt Club of Houston and was a director of the Vanderbilt Alumni Association. Lee is active in several civic activities, including the CFA Society of Houston and the World President’s Organization. He is president of the Children’s Museum of Houston and teaches Sunday School at First Presbyterian Church. Lee loves to cheer on his kids’ sports teams and travel whenever he can.
