Lauren Wilson Young was born in Memphis, TN. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with B.A. degrees in Early Childhood Education and English. She spent four years teaching children with special needs ages 3-5 in Nashville. She returned to Memphis with her husband, Tommy Young, and began working with Youth Villages as an Intercept Family Counselor. She now has 2 children, Stuart (5) and Wilson (11/2) and is the Executive Director for the Kemmons Wilson Family Foundation. She is also an active deacon at her church, Second Baptist Church of Memphis, TN.
