OCTOBER 24 - 25, 2008

Dear Class of 1988,

Can you believe that Reunion 2008 will mark 20 years since our class left Vanderbilt to enter the “real world”? What great years we all had at Vanderbilt! If you have not been back recently, you will notice some dramatic changes. The look of the campus has been transformed by new buildings, dramatic renovations of existing buildings, and extraordinary landscaping throughout. The campus continues to evolve with a new Commons for entering freshmen and a student mentoring program set to kick off in the fall. Vanderbilt continues to attract an outstanding faculty which teaches a more diverse student body from all parts of the country.

At the same time, all that we remember and loved about Vanderbilt remains. Rotier’s cheeseburgers are still the best in town, SATCO and the Overcup Oak are still popular hangouts, and “the Wall” at Sarratt is always crowded with students taking a break from their busy schedules.

1988Our 20th Reunion is fast approaching, and we need everyone’s attendance and participation to make it complete. Reunion’08 is a perfect time to catch up with Vanderbilt friends and experience the changes to the university all at the same time. It’s going to be a terrific, fun-filled weekend. Please mark your calendars and make your hotel reservations now for Reunion Weekend (Oct. 24-25).

And don’t just come back—please give back. All of us have been shaped by our Vanderbilt experience and are beneficiaries of the generosity of those who came before us. Now is our time to hand that legacy of excellence on to present and future students.
We would love for you to be involved in Reunion planning. If you would like to participate, please contact us for more information. And explore this class Web page for more information on Reunion and Nashville hotels. We look forward to seeing you in October for our 20th Reunion!

Sincerely,

Rob & Page Gunter Doby, Class Weekend Co-Chairs
Clay & Jayne Ann Waggener Milling, Class Fundraising Co-Chairs
