RalphRalph Davis lives in Nashville with his wife Suann and his two children Emily (10) and Max (9).  After graduation, he earned his law degree from Yale Law School.  Following a clerkship with Judge Gilbert S. Merritt on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, Ralph joined Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom to practice corporate law in Washington and New York.  He returned to Nashville in 1992 to join Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, where his practice focuses on finance and mergers and acquisitions, primarily in the healthcare and financial institutions industries.  He has served as the firm's Chairman since 2004.  In 2008, Ralph will leave law practice to become a partner in Cressey & Company, a private equity firm that invests in healthcare companies.
