Antonio Joseph (Tony) Almeida is married to Margaret Taylor Almeida (Peabody – 1979) and lives in Salisbury, NC. They are the parents of three sons, Joseph (26), Walter (22), and Randy (17). Tony has worked for Duke Energy for 28 years and is currently Vice President – Business Relations and Economic Development for Duke Energy Carolinas based in Charlotte, NC. He is active in the business community in Charlotte, serving on the Executive Committee of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and is the incoming Chair of the Charlotte Regional Partnership. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Hood Theological Seminary and is an Elder at First Presbyterian Church in Salisbury, NC. Margaret will graduate from the Union Theological Seminary campus in Charlotte with a Masters of Divinity degree in April, 2008.
