John Stein is married to Beth Atkins Stein and lives in Nashville. They are the parents of son Tyler age 17, a senior at University School of Nashville. John grew up in Sarasota, FL, attended Vanderbilt to swim and majored in biology, with a minor in chemistry and fine arts. He graduated from the Owen School in 1975 with an M.B.A., and is currently President of Bank of America Tennessee and manages the national for-profit healthcare division. John is involved in numerous civic and charitable board positions, including serving on the board of Vanderbilt Medical Center and incoming board chair for Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. He tries to work in a little tennis in his spare time.
