OCTOBER 24 - 25, 2008

Dear Fellow Alum:

Forty years since we graduated! Really? Regardless of how fast it has flown, there you have it… 40 years. It’s rather awe-inspiring. We are planning a great celebration and want you to circle your calendar now and plan to be there. Vanderbilt certainly has changed and expanded in so many ways since our days on campus—academically, athletically and socially. Come and see for yourself!

Reunion'08, October 24 - 25, will provide a wonderful chance to see firsthand our alma mater's progress and to catch up with old friends. Start making your plans now; call your friends, and plan to meet them in October.

You will hear more as the months roll along, but in the meantime, here are a few highlights:
» Friday afternoon—a class sponsored lecture. Sure to be a hit…
» Friday Night—our Class Party—"FORTY FABULOUS YEARS AGO." Enjoy visiting with old friends, and meet some you wish you had known!
Chairs» Saturday—A tail gate party that starts early.
» THE BIG GAME—our class block of tickets will be available for purchase July 1!
» Saturday Night—we’ll find a place to gather and wrap up the weekend events with a toast or two!

Meanwhile, be sure to update your profile and email address on Dore2Dore so we know how to reach you. And get your hotel reservations NOW—they fill up fast!

We are planning for a record turn out—come be a part of it. We hope you will also consider playing a part in meeting the Class of '68's Reunion fundraising goals. In some way, Vanderbilt affected you and each of us—helping to shape our choices, giving us countless memories, and adding richly to our educational experience and life’s ongoing adventure. Let’s re-unite at Reunion after these 40 years, and have some fun together in October.

See you then!

Sincerely,

Jack Carter, Class Weekend Chair
Barbara L. Cresswell, Class Fundraising Chair
