- Current state: Why you’re here (job loss, career or industry change, exploration) and where to start.
- Visioning exercise
- Completion of Kaleidoscope Career Model (developed by Susan D. Strayer, author of The Right Job, Right Now)
- Resume introduction
10:30- 11:00 a.m. → BREAK and NETWORKING
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Content will cover creating and sharing a brand, sharing through value-added networking including:
- Personal brand exercise
- Networking strategies
- Resume review
- Starting a job search
1:00 – 2:00 p.m. → BREAK for lunch
2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
- Content will cover managing a job search to desired results including:
- Effective search management
- Interview preparation
3:00 – 3:15 p.m. → BREAK
3:15 – 5:00 p.m.
- Interview practice and debrief
- Decision-making and negotiation exercise
- Optional social networking opportunity to follow.
