  • Content will cover participants’ current state and how to plan for next steps including:
  • Current state: Why you’re here (job loss, career or industry change, exploration) and where to start.
  • Visioning exercise
  • Completion of Kaleidoscope Career Model (developed by Susan D. Strayer, author of The Right Job, Right Now)
  • Resume introduction

10:30- 11:00 a.m. → BREAK and NETWORKING

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

  • Content will cover creating and sharing a brand, sharing through value-added networking including:
  • Personal brand exercise
  • Networking strategies
  • Resume review
  • Starting a job search

1:00 – 2:00 p.m. → BREAK for lunch

2:00 – 3:00 p.m.

  • Content will cover managing a job search to desired results including:
  • Effective search management
  • Interview preparation

3:00 – 3:15 p.m. → BREAK

3:15 – 5:00 p.m.

  • Interview practice and debrief
  • Decision-making and negotiation exercise
  • Optional social networking opportunity to follow.
