Brigadier General William B. Hickman takes command of the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and Fort Polk

Brigadier General William B. HickmanThe Vanderbilt University Army ROTC would like to congratulate Brigadier General William B. Hickman on taking command of the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and Fort Polk. JRTC serves as the premier training facility for the United States Army yearly training and certifying brigade size combat elements.

BG Hickman is a 1983 graduate of the Vanderbilt University Army ROTC and a graduate of the Owen Graduate School of Management. BG Hickman's previous assignment was as a Deputy Commander of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

Through his continued participation in our alumni organization BG Hickman serves as an inspiration to our current cadets. His participation with the current Go Gold Battalion and the alumni organization has been invaluable to our program.
