  • The Truth: The Truth . . . in-your-face reports directly from tobacco company memos about their knowledge of tobacco's addiction and marketing strategies. These are the guys that make the cool psa's.
  • Unfiltered TV.com: Although aimed at high school students, this site has a series of videos that show how five students deal with tobacco withdrawal and with information on smoking cessation.
  • U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services: Alcohol & Drug Information The site allows you to choose what drug you are interested in and brings up a variety of articles informing you about how the drug works and how to get help quitting the drug.
  • QuitNet: Provides a variety of resources such as plans to help you quit and calendars detailing day-to-day steps in quitting.
  • Join Together: This site is updated with the latest news about substance abuse and gun control, plus quizzes you to see if you're addicted, and contains links to helpful sites such as quitnet.org.
  • Surgeon General's Tobacco Facts: Provides statistics about quitting and the damage and cost of smoking.
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: Contains information about the dangers of smoking and guides to help you quit, grouped under helpful headings.
  • Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco: Outlines the mission statement for this group, lists the group's administrators and the publications available from the group, and describes how to become a member of the group.
  • Tobacco.org: Contains the latest tobacco news, information about the drug in general, and has a list of resources for quitting.
  • American Cancer Society: This site provides tips on how to quit using all forms of tobacco.
  • American Lung Association: Describes the benefits of quitting, provides an action plan for doing so, and contains a resource fact sheet, etc.
  • About.com Quit Smoking: This site contains articles about what will happen to your body as you go through nicotine withdrawal and describes how to help yourself quit.
  • The National Tobacco Information Online System (NATIONS) is sponsored by the Center for Disease Control and provided data on tobacco use around the world.
