Andrew Stephens

The Reverend Dr. Andrew Lee Stephens, Jr. is the Pastor of The Village Church, PCUSA in Nashville , TN.   Dr. Stephens began work in November 1997, as the Organizing Pastor of the Village Church and became the congregations first installed pastor, February 23, 2000 with one hundred twenty-five charter members.

He is a 1997 honor graduate of J. C. Smith Theological Seminary, the Presbyterian member institution of the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta , Georgia .

He holds the Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary Atlanta.

Dr. Stephens has been happily married to Vicki Adele Stephens for 28 years and is the father of two sons, Andrew III (27) and Trevor (18) and one daughter, Daisy (22).

Dr.  Stephens previously served as Chair of Tying Nashville Together (TNT) an interfaith alliance with a membership of 40,000 in the Nashville community that works together to address issues of social justice and equity within the Nashville community.

He is currently involved with organizing a broad coalition of students, parents and community representatives to improve our public school system, called Beyond Jena.

Most significantly, Dr. Stephens is a man of God.
