Literacy

The Child and Family Policy Center is exploring ways to involve congregations in special partnerships focused on literacy. The Center is in the very early stages of “brainstorming” with Nashville READ, the leading literacy focused agency in Nashville, and a number of religious organizations with particular interest in literacy about opportunities for collaboration. As a result of these initial efforts, Nashville READ has assisted the Jewish Federation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee in an effort to recruit, train, and place volunteer tutors with elementary school children.
