Book’Em: Brining Literacy to Nashville Youth

The Goal of Book’Em is to promote childhood literacy and to advocate for greater access to books within impoverished neighborhoods. This will be done while working in close collaboration with an organization called Book Em, whose goals are much the same as ours. Our project will include multiple book drives, trips to local schools, and raising awareness about this epidemic in our society. We will benefit from living together by actually living the solutions to the problems we face. The house will also be used as a meeting place for literacy advocacy dinners as well as a drop-off point for books.
