Housing for the Vanderbilt vs. Tennessee
From Vanderbilt Athletics
Dear Vanderbilt Students,
On Saturday, Nov. 17, your Commodore football team will face in-state and SEC rival Tennessee at home on Dudley Field. Vanderbilt’s historic rivalry with Tennessee is one of its longest and most contentious, dating back to 1892. In recent years, head-to-head matchups between the teams have been battles down to the final drive. Last year in Knoxville, the Vols pulled off a narrow victory in overtime.
This year’s game on Vanderbilt’s home turf presents a tremendous opportunity for our community. Coach James Franklin and your classmates on the Commodore team (4-4, 2-3 SEC) are working tirelessly to build a program of which you can be extremely proud; however, they cannot do it alone. Fans of Tennessee (3-5, 0-5) will show up in force. Help us show them that Vanderbilt students excel not only in the classroom, but also in the unbridled enthusiasm and pride you have for your school.
We encourage you to kick off Thanksgiving break by attending the game Nov. 17 at Vanderbilt Stadium. As always, undergraduates may attend home games at no charge by showing a Vanderbilt ID and entering the stadium at Gate 4, as may graduate and professional students who have had their IDs validated for football and basketball games.
Campus residents who remain in Nashville for the game and beyond, may stay in their residence halls by registering at https://apphost2.its.vanderbilt.edu/studentbiz/myBiz.
Athletics will be providing free food for our students.
Bring your friends and classmates to create some lasting memories at what promises to be an exciting game.
Come early, stay late, be loud and be proud, and wear your black and gold.
