Reservations are no longer available to December’s “Thinking Out of the (Lunch) Box” lecture series, featuring a conversation between Gregg Horowitz, associate professor of philosophy, and Professor of Philosophy David Wood on “Philosophy and Dreams.” According to Horowitz, “Ordinary life has more texture and surprise than we expect, and philosophy is a way of helping us understand that.” He said that philosophy offers a way for us to pay attention to what our dreams tell us about our waking lives. The box lunch and lecture series, sponsored by Vanderbilt University and the Nashville Public Library, takes place Dec. 4 at the Downtown Library on Church Street. For more information about the free lecture series, call 322-8585 or by sending an e-mail to lunchbox@vanderbilt.edu.
