Conflict of Interest Policy available online
The University’s Conflict of Interest Policy was approved by the Board of Trust at its fall 2002 meeting, and the policy is available for review online. The policy defines and outlines individual conflicts of interest, individual conflicts of commitment and disclosure procedures, as well as special procedures. The policy applies to all faculty and staff at Vanderbilt and requires advance disclosure and approval for potential conflicts as well as annual completion of a Conflict Disclosure Form in August. The Office of General Counsel is responsible for oversight of the implementation and enforcement of the policy. A University Conflicts Committee composed of faculty, staff and outside individuals will serve as a resource for addressing conflicts of interest and commitment. To view the policy in its entirety, visit www.vanderbilt.edu/compliance/html/conflict_of_Interest_policy.htm.
