HRS announces new paycheck deduction schedule
Human Resource Services recently announced an improved method of deducting health-care and dental insurance premiums from biweekly paychecks. Beginning Jan. 10 for University staff, and Jan. 17 for the Medical Center, the cost of the health and dental premiums will be equally divided among two paychecks each month. Previously, the dental premium was deducted from the first check, and the health premium was deducted from the second check. The two months of the year that an “extra” paycheck is received will be unaffected by this change, according to HRS. Only deductions for medical and dental insurance will be affected. For a complete listing and schedule of deductions, visit HRS at www.vanderbilt.edu/HRS/general/paydeductions.htm.
