In Memoriam

Damali Ayana Booker, a third-year student at the Vanderbilt Law School, died Sept. 27. She was 24. Booker, a Nashville native, was active in the Legal Aide Society and the Black Law Student Association. Her mother, Cherie Booker, is a Divinity School student. Family receive dfriends Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lewis and Wright Funeral Home in Clarksville, Tenn. The formal visitation and funeral was Oct. 5 from 10 to11 a.m. at Brentwood Baptist Church on 7777 Concord Road. The Law School held a memorial service for Booker in Benton Chapel Oct. 9 at 8:15 p.m.
