Voter registration drive begins Sept. 30

The Vanderbilt branch of the National Voter Registration Initiative, the College Democrats and the College Republicans are sponsoring a voter registration drive Sept. 30-Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the wall outside of Rand Hall. In addition, to registering to vote in Tennessee, multi-state applications will be available for out-of-state registration. The Nov.5 General Election will elect a Governor U.S. Senator, representatives to the U.S. House of Representatives, Tennessee State Senate and Tennessee State House; vote on the lottery referendum, Metro Council term limits and in some areas elect new members to Metro Council and city offices. Those not currently registered to vote should do so by Oct. 4 in order to vote Nov. 5.
