Children’s social development expert to speak Sept. 26

Peter Hobson, an international expert on the typical and atypical social development of young children, will speak at a free public lecture Sept. 26. His talk, “Interpersonal Cradle of Thought: Studies on Infancy, Autism and Congenital Blindness,” is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Room 241 of the Kennedy Center/MRL Building on Peabody’s campus. The Tavistock Professor of Developmental Psychopathology at the University of London is well know for his work showing the centrality of interpersonal relations for the development of children’s understanding of the mind. The lecture is sponsored by the Kennedy Center.
