Christine Orlowski is a senior who is
double majoring in Child Development
and Human and Organizational Development in Peabody College. Her
undergraduate honors thesis is entitled Parental Involvement and School
Responsiveness to Latino Immigrants. She hopes to learn about the parent
involvement patterns of first-generation immigrant families and what the
schools do to help meet the needs of these families and help the parents
to
be more involved with the school. She also hopes to successfully complete
this self-designed study by the time she graduates! Her research interests
lie with families, children, and the impact of culture on social
interactions and the perception of self.
