Susan Ford Wiltshire, professor of classics
Has written numerous articles, reviews and professional papers on the classics. Special interest in the classics and America, the history of women at Vanderbilt, and scholarship and public life.

Tony Earley, assistant professor of English
Author of "Here We Are in Paradise," a collection of short stories. Has published fiction and/or non-fiction in Harper's, Tri Quarterly, Details and The Oxford American, where he is a contributing writer. Has fiction anthologized in Best American Short Stories and New Stories from the South.

Michael Kreyling, professor of English
Special interest in American literature, Southern literature (expecially Eudora Welty, William Faulkner, Walker Percy and Reynolds Price). Author of books including "Eudora Welty's Achievement of Order," "Figures of the Hero in Southern Narrative" and "Author and Agent: Eudora Welty and Diarmuid Russell." A forthcoming book will examine the coming-into-being of the literary culture of the American South in this century.

Jim Foglesong, adjunct professor of music business
Former president of the Nashville division of MCA and Capitol Records and 45-year veteran of the recording industry. Former professional singer, record producer and executive. Board member of W.O. Smith Nashville Community Music School, Country Music Foundation and the Howard Hanson Memorial Institute of Music. Visiting adjunct professor, Eastman School of Music.

Charles Wolfe, professor of English at Middle Tennessee State University
One of the leading experts on the history and development of country music. He is the author of "The Devil's Box: Masters of Southern Fiddling" (Vanderbilt/Country Music Foundation Press)

Darren Sherkat, associate professor of sociology and religious studies
Research and teaching interests include sociology of religion, social movements, statistics and methods, and rational choice theory. Consultant of the Black Church Social Services Project, Kelly Miller Smith Institute, Vanderbilt Divinity School.

Areas of expertise include race relations in the South, politics and conflict, civil rights, affirmative action and social service methodology.

Richard Pride, associate professor of political science
Major areas of interest in political science include political culture, political communication, political psychology and socialization, public opinion and voting behavior, political parties, interest groups and public policy. Co-author of the book, "The Burden of Busing." Has appeared on numerous radio and television programs and produced documentaries for television.
