How to Apply
Program

While you're in town

With the upcoming presidential election, much attention will be focused on the South and the heritage that shaped so many of today's political leaders. This program is designed to engage journalists, Vanderbilt faculty and other experts in discussions about the Southern tradition—virtually everything from music and literature to history, politics, religion—and its impact on the region and its people. The fellowship is on-the-record, with an emphasis on informal discussion among fellows and speakers.

The fellowship will feature senior faculty from Vanderbilt University, writers, music industry experts as well as other leading national and regional figures. The program will also involve a number of field trips to local historical and cultural points of interest, including the Country Music Hall of Fame.
