Admission

Admission to Tailgate 2000 is free and open to regular faculty and staff, and their families. You must show your VU faculty/staff I.D. to gain admission.

 

Tickets for the Vanderbilt vs. Duke football game are free!

Tickets are free for Vanderbilt faculty, staff, and family members, with a valid VU I.D. Tickets are available only on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Tailgate 2000. Tickets may not be picked up from the Department of Athletics. Tickets will be issued for immediate family at the Tailgate 2000 site on the day of the event only.

 

Remember, a VU faculty/staff I.D. must be presented to pick up your tickets.

 

Food and Fun

Barbecue sandwiches (pork or turkey), hot dogs, veggie burgers, chips, cookies, ice cream and drinks will be served beginning at 3 p.m. There will also be fun and games for the entire family, provided by Let Us Entertain You. Mr. Commodore and the VU cheerleaders will be on hand for pictures, and the Vanderbilt Band will march by on its way to the stadium.

 

Second Harvest Food Bank

Nonperishable foods will be collected for donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

HEALTH Plus Lite Challenge

The Purity Ice Cream Taste Test is back, along with other healthy activities sponsored by HEALTH Plus.

 

'DORE Prizes

Each faculty and staff member will have the opportunity to win one of many valuable door prizes throughout the afternoon. You must be present to win. Door prize tickets will be distributed at Tailgate 2000.

 

Bring your family and a picnic blanket, and join your colleagues for a Vanderbilt community
tradition.

Volunteers Sought

Faculty/staff volunteers are needed for three short shifts to man the ticket tables, children's game area and the front gate area. Shifts are from 3 to 4 p.m., 4 to 4:45 p.m. and 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. A t-shirt will be provided for volunteers. For more inf ormation, contact Shore Griffi n at 323-1130.
