This Week Eighteen faculty members from Blair School of Music and one student played Carnegie Hall Sept. 25, 2000, while touring the East Coast with the Nashville Symphony. The group's performance was a hit. New York Times music critic Allen Kozinn described the program, which featured works by Ives, Strauss and Beethoven, as "mostly a knockout," and praised the orchestra for playing "with the energy of an ensemble out to impress."
