Office of the Provost

Nancy Falls has been hired as the assistant vice chancellor. She will primarily work on budget and integrated financial planning. Falls previously served as vice president of investor relations and head of risk management for MagneTek Inc. and then as treasurer and head of investor relations for Ucar International Inc.

Marjorie Sprull has been hired as the associate vice chancellor of institutional planning and research professor of history. She will be working on implementing and continuing the University's strategic academic plan. Sprull previously served as professor of history at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.

Owen Graduate School of Management

Matt Gibson has been hired to serve as information services librarian in the Owen School's Walker Management Library. In addition to helping faculty with research and assisting clients of the Business Information Service, he provides library and research services to faculty and students in the Owen School's entrepreneurship program. Previously he served at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he worked at the Commerce Library and was a consultant to the Office for Strategic Business Initiatives.

Hermano Rocha has been hired as director of executive education programs. For the past four years, he was vice president of Kodak Polychrome Graphics, a Miami-based joint venture between Eastman Kodak and Sun Chemical Inks. He earned his MBA in 1998 at Owen.

May Woods has been promoted to program coordinator at the Owen School. Woods coordinates faculty services and projects in the office of the associate dean for academic programs. She previously served as administrative assistant in the dean's office.

Beverly Whetstine has been promoted to program coordinator for the office of corporate relations at the Owen School. Most recently, Whetstine was executive assistant in the school's executive education program office. In her new position, she coordinates programs to support the school's relationships with corporate entities.

 


Plant Operations

Lisbeth V. Wyatt has been hired as the director of general services in plant operations. She is responsible for grounds maintenance, custodial services, pest control/management, vehicle maintenance, moving and events set up services, and the plant operations recycling program. Wyatt previously served as a facility manager while an engineer officer for the U.S. Army.
