This Week The Association of American Medical Colleges reported on Oct. 11, 1996, that the Vanderbilt Medical School Class of 1995 was found to have the most satisfied graduates of any medical school in the country. According to the AAMC's 1995 graduation questionnaire, which is given to graduating students from all 124 of the country's accredited medical schools, 83.2 percent of Vanderbilt's Class of 1995 reported they were "very satisfied" with their medical education. Fourth-year president Chris Sonnenday explained why students were so happy: "The relationship that exists between the faculty and the student body is one that won't be found in many medical schools across the country. The faculty is really dedicated to providing us with an outstanding education and also to giving us the flexibility to seek out our own interests." Source: VUMC Reporterr, Oct. 11, 1996
