Political humorist Kate Clinton will perform as part of Great Performances
at Vanderbilt Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. in Langford Auditorium.
Clinton, a former high school English teacher, turned to comedy on
a dare back in the early 1980s, and is now widely-known for her potent
and savvy humor.
She has appeared on Nightline, Good Morning America,
CNN, Entertainment Tonight, Comedy Central and C-SPAN. She also
toured for a year with her one-woman off-Broadway production called
"Correct Me if I'm Right."

In 1998, she authored the book Don't Get Me Started and is
a columnist for the monthly magazines The Progressive and The
Advocate. Clinton has also written for the New York Times
and George magazine. She wrote for The Rosie O'Donnell
Show in 1996 and has released five comedy albums including the most
recent "Comedy You Can Dance To."
Tickets for the performance are $28, $24 and $20; $14 for students
and children; $14 for Vanderbilt faculty and staff; $7 for Vanderbilt
