Key Data: As Vanderbilt's popularity with prospective college students is on the rise, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions has created an improved Web site to meet the increased demand. The design of the Web site, managed by the Division of Public Affairs' Office of Online Services, was made to assimilate into the new format of Vanderbilt's homepage and second-level pages while maintaining the distinctive look of the OUA's Viewbook. The layout is easy to navigate, makes use of engaging visual tools and offers many opportunities for interaction. On the opening page, a prospective student can click on one of four pictures of students and faculty to receive individual perspectives of the Vanderbilt experience, providing the opportunity for them to connect with the University on a more personal level. These four photos change when visitors click "refresh" on their browser. The redesign creates a portal-like effect, with categories for Incoming Freshmen, Transfer Students, International Students, Financial Aid and more, making the site a one-stop shop for prospective students. As in years past, prospective students can apply online.
