Globe-trotting
students learn abroad
by Lew
Harris
Around the globe, Vanderbilt undergraduates are
discovering much more than classroom learning. They're having
a g'day in Australia, mate. They're enjoying the exquisite cuisine
in France, "la dolce vita" in Italy and the bustling life in
Madrid, where the plazas and streets are still crowded at 2
a.m. They're skiing in the Andes in Chile and witnessing daily
life in China.
In all, 100 Vanderbilt students are taking advantage
of international learning opportunities this semester in Vanderbilt
study abroad programs in eight countries, including one each
in Russia and China.
