Emily Vega, a student at J.T. Moore Middle School, and Bobbi-Lynn Blaser,
a seventh-grade teacher at East Literature Magnet School, look at a life-size
model of a human body that details the cardiovascular system. The project
by Charles Dunlap was one of many showcased during a May 15 reception at
Peabody's Social Religious Building. Metro students, Schools for Thought
teachers, Peabody researchers and others working together to improve student
achievement invited the community to view their works in progress. The event
marked the first year of the Technology Innovation Challenge Grant awarded
to Metro Schools last fall./Photo by Billy Kingsley
