Bruce Appel, Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Arts and Science, has been awarded a grant of $198,991 by the Public Health Service for "Genetic Analysis of Midline Cell Fate Specification."
James E. Auer, Vanderbilt Institute for Public Policy Studies, has been awarded a grant of $71,738 by JETRO of New York for "The Role of Government in Markets." Auer has also received a grant of $76,780 by JETRO of New York for "Crisis Management in New Economic Society."
