Freshman Phenoms

Photos by Neil Brake

The impressive performance of freshman basketball players Ashley Earley and David Przybyszewski have earned each of them a starting role on their respective Commodore teams. Earley, whose first career start came against Canisius College Dec. 31, 2001, is second on the team in steals (19) second in rebounds (108) third in assists (44) and sixth in points (116) through 18 games. A native of Torún, Poland, Przybyszewski started the second game of the season, as he has in all but four others through the first 15 games. At 6-11 inches and 233 pounds, he surprises many with his ability to score consistently from beyond the three-point arc. Przybyszewski is second on the team in rebounds, averaging 4.4 per game.
