Goldberg contraption makes the simple complex

Matt Schiefer, a senior in the School of Engineering, demonstrates his team's Rube Goldberg machine during Engineering Week, Feb. 18-24. The complex machine, which functions through various contraptions similar to the game Mousetrap, will wash and peel an apple. Rube Goldberg is a cartoonist famous for drawing complex machines to perform a simple task.
