Gore, Alexander conduct workshop

Former Vice President Al Gore (right) and former Tennessee Gov. Lamar Alexander (left) conducted a bipartisan workshop on Aug. 11 for more than 100 young Democrats and Republicans from across the country. The "Young People's Political Leadership Workshop" was held in the Wyatt Center at Peabody College. The daylong event focused on citizenship, political advocacy and grassroots civic involvement. Chancellor Gordon Gee (middle) met with the politicians/educators at a reception following the sessions.
