Address honors Burish

"Under the leadership of Tom Burish, [the American Cancer Society] set a long-term, nationwide goal for improving cancer patients' quality of life," said John Seffrin (right), CEO of the American Cancer Society in an April 25 lecture given in honor of former Provost Thomas G. Burish (left), who will assume the presidency of Washington and Lee University July 1. "Today, there are about 9 million cancer survivors in America. The prescience of Tom Burish in sensitizing us to these issues can't be overstated."
