Briefly SpeakingLaw library to relocate The ongoing expansion and renovation of the Vanderbilt Law School will require a temporary relocation and disruption of services at the Alyne Queener Massey Law Library. Starting May 6, the library staff will relocate to Room 123 of the Law School, according to Pauline Aranas, assistant dean for library and information technology and associate professor of law. During the renovation, no public access to the collection will be allowed. Due to the construction, the government documents collection will be unavailable until spring 2001. A list of the eight other depository libraries is available on the Law School's Web site at www.vanderbilt.edu/Law/library. Members of the bar as well as Vanderbilt students, faculty, alumni and staff can obtain specific items identified through ACORN. The library staff will retrieve the requested document and notify the person when it is available. Documents will be held for 10 days after notification. Photocopiers will continue to be available and photocopy requests will be handled as staff time allows through a fee-based service for attorneys. Summer hours for the law library are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Circulation staff can be reached at 322-2568. The law library is scheduled to move back to its expanded and improved facilities on Aug. 23.
