Former Law School dean honored
by Lynne Hutchison As part of the Vanderbilt University Law School dedication events March 16, the office of the dean of the Vanderbilt University Law School was named for C. Dent Bostick, dean of the School from 1979 to 1985, and for his wife, Susan. The Bosticks were honored at the School's Leadership Dinner, where a restored portrait of Bostick was unveiled. It will be hung at the entrance to the Bostick Dean's Office. "I want to express my deep appreciation to Kent [Syverud] for including my wife in this honor," Bostick said. "Sue and I have always known that Vanderbilt has a special place in our lives and hearts." Bostick joined the Law School faculty in 1968, became acting dean in 1979, then became dean in 1980. He has been a professor of law, emeritus, since 1992.
