VECTOR hosts transportation satellite teleconference
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A national teleconference on the reauthorization
of the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) of 1991
will be hosted Aug. 14 by the Vanderbilt
Engineering Center for Transportation Operations and Research.
The teleconference, scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. in Room 214 of Light Hall,
will explore how the reauthorization of ISTEA will affect the relationship
between the environment and surface transportation. A panel of experts from
the public and private sectors will explore the key issues related to the
reauthorization and assess how these issues will translate into the next
piece of legislation.
The teleconference will be broadcast live from North Carolina State University's
Center for Transportation and the Environment. The fee for attending the
teleconference is $25.
