MEDIA   ADVISORY:
Owen School students will taste sweet success with Ben & Jerry’s co-founder

NASHVILLE, Tenn.Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's Homemade, Inc., will visit Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management to discuss corporate social responsibility with MBA students.

Media are invited to attend Cohen’s lecture Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Averbuch Auditorium as well as an ice cream social that will follow. Also open to the media is a roundtable discussion involving Cohen and Nashville businessmen and entrepreneurs at 3:30 p.m. in Room 204 at Owen. The business roundtable is being sponsored by the Cal Turner Program in Moral Leadership for the Professions. Cohen’s visit was organized through the efforts of Owen’s newly formed student group, “Just Do It – Right” club.

If you plan to attend, please contact either Lew Harris or Juliana Deans.  Because of space limitations, the event is not open to the general public.

Time: Lecture at 1 p.m. in Averbuch Auditorium followed by ice cream social. Business roundtable featuring Ben Cohen and Nashville businessmen and entrepreneurs scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Room 204 of Management Hall.
