To apply

From high-tech computers, the World Wide Web and interactive software to ordinary VCRs and television, technology is profoundly changing the American system of education. This fellowship will explore the bold opportunities and unique challenges of the educational technology revolution and its effect on all levels of education, from pre-school to post-graduate work.

The program is designed to engage journalists, teachers, Vanderbilt faculty and other experts in discussions about educational technology as a potentially powerful, effective tool that can enhance learning when properly managed and applied. How can educators prepare students to use this tool to succeed in an increasingly complex and fast-paced world? Can a computer ever substitute for a teacher, or an online class replace a university seminar? How will students without access to sophisticated technological resources fare in the real world?
