Ed Walters

Ed Walters is an associate in the Washington, D.C. law firm of Covington & Burling, where he specializes in international electronic commerce and intellectual property litigation.

He worked in the Office of Presidential Speechwriting and the Office of Media Affairs for President George Bush from 1991-92. From 1990-91, he worked nights as a copy aide on the Metro desk at The Washington Post. He has written for The Washington Post and The New York Times.

Mr. Walters earned his A.B. in government from Georgetown University in 1992 and his J.D. from the University of Chicago in 1996, where he was an editor of the University of Chicago Law Review. From 1996-97, he was a law clerk to the Hon. Emilio M. Garza in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
