What do I do when I have an injury at work?
Notify your supervisor of the injury and get treatment if medical care is needed.

How do I report a work related injury?
All suspected work-related injuries/illnesses should be reported to Risk Management. A Tennessee First Report of Injury must be filled out, signed by the employee and the employee's supervisor and submitted to Risk Management, 610 Oxford House (4683). The filing of this form is essential for documentation of occurrence and determination of benefits through Workers' Compensation.

Where do I get treatment for a work injury?
If medical care is required, report to the Occupational Health Clinic at Suite 640 in the Medical Arts Building, 1211 21st Avenue South, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Medical care may be required for injuries, illnesses, exposures to infectious disease and exposures to chemical or other hazardous agents. If the exposure occurs from 5:30 pm to 7:30 am, weekends, or holidays report to the Emergency Room.

Do I need an appointment?
You do not need an appointment for work-related injuries or illnesses. All work injuries/illnesses are given priority for evaluation/treatment.

If I am not a Vanderbilt Employee, where do I go for treatment?
The Vanderbilt Occupational Health Clinic serves only Vanderbilt faculty and staff. For information on services available to other employers in the middle Tennessee, southern Kentucky, and northern Alabama areas, visit Vanderbilt's Corporate Health Services Web site.
