Travel Wellness Faculty and Staff who will be conducting business which requires international travel are provided pre-trip consultation to develop an individual plan to maintain health and prevent illness and injury during the trip. Based on a Pre-travel survey, a trip risk assessment is formulated and a customized prevention plan implemented. This includes:
Many vaccinations require a few weeks to develop protective immunity, therefore, it is very important to schedule a trip consultation 6 weeks prior to departure or as soon as the trip is planned. Most travel vaccines are not stocked in the clinic and are obtained by special order after you arrive in the clinic. A copy of your signed Vanderbilt Travel Authorization will be required at the time of your visit. To obtain services:
